Along with many other charity and third sector organisations, Steel Valley Project relies on the support of volunteers. Without them, we simply couldn’t carry out all the work we do.
In early January, Steel Valley Project hosted its first “Find Out About Volunteering” event at our office in Stocksbridge Town Hall. Attendees enjoyed a relaxed chat over coffee and pastries while learning more about what volunteering with SVP involves and meeting some of our existing volunteers.
The event was very well attended, with around ten new potential volunteers attending with many signing up and arranging to join us for a taster day. We were delighted with the response and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended—especially those who are considering volunteering with us in the future.
