Tom is responsible for delivering the Steel Valley Project’s strategic plan in conjunction with the Steering Group.
Liaising with partners, external organisations and the local community, Tom develops projects including; habitat management, landscaping, access works, training, education and interpretation projects.
He provides support to SVP volunteers and staff, in addition to managing the day to day operations of the organisation.
With over 15 years’ experience in the environment industry, Tom has skills and qualifications that include education, training, event management, fundraising, contract supervision, management planning and practical countryside work.
Tom has previously worked with Sustrans, Bracknell Forest Council, Surrey Wildlife Trust, Sheffield City Council and Sheffield Wildlife Trust before starting as Steel Valley Project’s General Manager in 2015.
Tom is a keen cyclist and climber, as well as explorer of the outdoors with his wife and daughter.
