Steel Valley Project is a long standing and award winning countryside management partnership based in Stocksbridge, near Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
We are currently seeking an Environmental Project Officer, working 22.5 hours per week, to deliver our environmental projects and lead a team of dedicated volunteers. The role is on a 1 year temporary contract (with potential for extension).
The person we are looking for is committed to delivering an exciting range of projects to support the communities and wildlife in our operational area.
With a proven background in countryside and land management, project delivery will require a broad range of skills to deliver projects as diverse as habitat and access management, training and environmental education.
You will have the ability to work with volunteers and the local community meeting a range of required outcomes, working on a host of countryside and environmental projects requiring a good knowledge and experience of delivering habitat management, access and community work.
