Emma’s main responsibility is the delivery of practical project work, supported by our volunteer team. She also recruits volunteers, delivers training and supervision to regular volunteers, trainees, and community groups, maintains the tools and equipment, works with project partners and landowners, and ensures careful planning and development of the various project work.
Emma joined the Steel Valley Project after completing a natural flood management project with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Her background also includes working with The Conservation Volunteers delivering environmental education. She grew up and lives in Wakefield but brings with her to Stocksbridge her experience in land management, environmental education and engagement with community groups.
In her spare time Emma enjoys crafting at home as well as cycling and walking through the countryside.
