Education
The Steel Valley Project, (SVP) has an established history of working with Schools. SVP supports and encourages schools in using local green spaces to deliver the national curriculum as well as engage with young people outside of normal school time. This is in order to encourage a sense of connection, respect and responsibility to such sites and the wildlife and heritage found in them.
By working with staff and pupils, the SVP staff and volunteer trainees have delivered a wide range of support and projects.
SVP is currently being funded by the Sheffield Town Trust and Penistone Round Table to deliver free environmental education sessions in our project area. Our thanks goes to these funders for their support.
