Join the Steel Valley Project staff and volunteers on Saturday 6th October 2018 for a scenic sponsored walk around the Little Don Valley to celebrate our 30 year anniversary.
We’ve plotted an exciting 12 mile walk, visiting many of the project sites which we have worked on over the years to give you a real feel for the sort of work we carry out. However, if you’re looking for something a little less challenging, we also have a shorter 6 mile walk on offer.
Both walks go through ancient woodland, taking in local highlights such as Whitwell Moor and the historic village of Bolsterstone and giving fabulous views over the Peak District and Upper Don Valley. The longer walk also goes to Wharncliffe Crags and alongside the Little Don river. Waymarking signs will be in place to direct walkers along the route.
How to enter
Entry is £15 per person and includes a buffet meal on route and a commemorative metal water bottle.
