The Steel Valley Project delivers education work with schools alongside interpretative
activities with the wider public in order to help develop respect and understanding
for our cultural and natural heritage.
We work with schools to improve school grounds as outdoor classrooms, as well as
providing support to schools to encourage the use local green spaces within walking

Interpretative activities have been delivered for the wider public via Forest School
type events and ‘Positive Activities for Young People’ during school holidays, along
with guided walks covering a wide range of themes including local history and natural
